So I just thought I would write some of my thoughts about Oak Leaf Church and actually working there.
Okay so I haven’t been as faithful to my blog as I had hoped, but it is LOW on my priority list. We went to the Unleash conference on Thursday with a BUNCH of people from OLC. I was truly stoked to get to hang with everyone that pours their heart and soul into the vision of Oak Leaf. I was also excited because my best friend since high school came up Wednesday night and attended Fuel with me and then went with us to NewSpring for the conference. We had a BLAST catching up on everything that is happening in his student ministry and having him attend ours. I can’t wait to see where God is going to take both ministries in the future. I am praying not only for Oak Leaf Church and Royal Baptist Church, but for EVERY church that truly has God’s will in their vision.
that describes the way my day has been. Things were crazy at work and if felt as if the day would never come to an end. Nothing bad, just one of those days. I have lost my passion for the foodservice industry. I know that God has something else out there for me so I will patiently continue my search. At this moment, I am just VERY grateful to have a job that pays the bills. Thank you Jesus for letting us spend another day on your earth.
I think that everyday should be considered Valentines Day. We should not just have one day a year to tell our loved ones how much we love them. I can honestly say that I tell Amanda everyday how much she means to me. Are you showing love to your family? Are you telling God that you love him everyday?
Not only should you use words to say “I Love You” but you should be using your actions to say it as well. Living you life in a godly manner is the best way to show God that you love him. I am working hard to do this, I am not perfect but a constant work in progress.
I love you guys and gals, now get off the internet and spend time with God and your family !
Okay so I have decided to read the manual for our intel lights. I usually do not read things like this but for some reason I can’t put this one down. I am learning so much that it isn’t funny. I think I have found one reason that they act funny sometimes and I am going to try and remedy the problem this weekend. I need to pick up a few things to make that happen, but it’s nothing that a quick trip to Radio Shack shouldn’t fix. I am so excited about what God has in store for me and I know that he will continue to show me in subtle ways the direction I need to continue.
Do you have something that you are totally sold out on? Your Church? God? What makes you do what you do? I used to be able to answer these with No, No, and nothing I am a bum. That was until a little over 2 years ago when I attended my first service at Oak Leaf Church. Now I am happy to say that I am COMPLETELY SOLD out to the vision of Oak Leaf, and GOD !!! If you are reading this blog and have never visited OLC, you should make plans one Sunday and attend one of the 4 services. There has never been a greater group of people doing everything short of Sin to make “someone’s” first experience with God a GREAT experience. I invite each and everyone of you to show up early and see just how hard all of the volunteers work to make “Sunday” happen. The staff works really hard throughout the week to plan and prepare, and then at 5am on Sunday morning, the volunteer ARMY just takes the bull by the horns and MAKES THINGS HAPPEN !!!! I have never been so proud to work side by side with a group of people in my life. So if you are one of the “Army” and you are reading this, just know that I love and respect each and every one of you. You are OAK LEAF CHURCH!!!!
